MacKenzie Hill is a director and producer whose passion is uplifting marginalized voices and making content that diversifies representation.
Her career started in LA, propelling herself quickly from a Post PA to a Co-producer. Seeking new challenges, she joined FOX Studios, where she learned the intricacies of producing a series, from script to screen. This inspired her to start a production company at twenty-five, where she developed and produced projects alongside talents like Regina King, Tony Robbins, and Rose Byrne. Armed with new knowledge, she moved to New York, where she delved into producing late-night series, political comedies, and documentaries.
MacKenzie's recent years have been marked by exciting collaborations with industry giants such as Disney, NASA, Google and Netflix, where she served as Director and Producer. Simultaneously, she produced and directed parts of the IDA award-winning documentary series, Origins of Hip-hop, in 2022. Most recently, she produced a documentary feature for Amazon MGM Studios following Megan Thee Stallion set to come out in 2024.
Currently, she is developing a documentary feature for Amazon and VICE Studios while producing an upcoming Starz series, Fat Joe Talks, airing in the Fall of 2024. At the end of this year, she will also be directing her first narrative feature, a queer led genre-bending body horror.
